OHIO ELECTION LAWS PROHIBIT PRECINCT ELECTION OFFICIALS FROM ENGAGING IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
Looking at or reading Voted Provisional/Curbside Ballots or Optical Scan Ballots, while being voted on; or the ExpressVote Machines while in use by a voter.
Giving advice as to which candidate to vote for or, how to vote on issues.
Televisions, radios, headphones, iPods, laptop computers, text messaging, magazines, newspapers, or cell phones other than for official use are prohibited.
No political materials or political discussions are allowed in the polling place.
Precinct Election Officials are prohibited from conducting bake sales, candy sales or promotional activities at any time during the Election. Sales by building personnel are permitted outside of the actual voting area.
Visitors including family members are prohibited.
A PEO may not place food or drink on the voting table or near the ExpressVote Machines.
If a voter asks the party affiliation of a non-partisan or judicial candidate, the PEO shall refrain from providing that information
